After graduating from the University of Regina in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, Clive moved through positions as a Counsellor, Supervisor and Manager in a social work and education career that spanned 25 years. Working within both the Federal and Provincial governments, representing the interests of both Management and the Union, Clive developed an open and personable approach dedicated to client service and helping parties achieve mutually acceptable outcomes. His strength of character has allowed him to interact with all equity groups while building trust and earning respect. Clive establishes and works in a positive, safe and rewarding environment. Clive Tolley has been a professional mediator since 2003 when he graduated from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) Dispute Resolution Advanced Certificate Program (D.R.C.P.). The D.R.C.P. is a post-graduate advanced certificate program open to helping professionals and lawyers wanting to move toward collaborative dispute resolution. The D.R.C.P. requires the completion of 390 hours of mediation training and practicum experience over two academic years. A highly skilled and interactive listener who fosters open communication, Clive has lead a variety of two party and multi-party conflict resolution processes to successful conclusions in the areas of family, organizational and insurance. With an understanding of the dynamics of separation and divorce, and the effect on both the adults and children, Clive is dedicated to helping families achieve agreements that work for them. Clive also has experience in grievance procedures and investigations into harassment and discrimination complaints. A natural and interesting speaker and facilitator, Clive has a proven ability to deliver courses and facilitate workshops and seminars. |
